Your worth isn't defined by your body weight or shape. And if anyone treated you like your body shape makes you less worthy, it's a reflection of their bad behavior, not your worth.
First of all, be gentle with yourself. Give yourself understanding. People cope with stressful situations in many different ways, and sometimes we might not choose a healthy coping mechanism the first time. Identify what causes you the stress in the first place, and try to manage the situation that causes the stress. Accept there are events that you cannot control. Accept that the situation is different now than before the stress took a toll on you, and focus on moving forward from this situation to a better one.
Do some stress management. Practice deep breathing and meditation. Get some sunlight, and set a sleep schedule. Try to do some exercise, even just a light one. Do it at the pace you feel comfortable with, at which you feel you'd be able to maintain consistency.
Try to maintain your calorie intake - you can use an app for this. Set a target you want to achieve. You can set a target for the exercise as well. Setting a target can help shift your focus from being hard on yourself about your situation to trying to meet the target. And meeting the target can give a sense of rewarding feeling. So, set a target you think you'd be able to achieve. Don't aim too high in the beginning.
Surround yourself with people who care about your well-being and your growth. And keep yourself away from those who make you question your worth. Because you are worthy no matter how you look.
@sensitiveHickory4356Stop trying to lose weight. I mean it.
It may sound counterintuitive but hear me out. You’ve spent your whole life trying to figure out how to lose weight, right? And be honest, where has that gotten you? Not far.
I lost 20kg (45lbs) when I stopped dieting. What you might not know is that it took four years to lose that weight. Averaged out over the four years, that means I lost just 100g of weight per week. So if my goal had been to ‘lose weight’, I would have given up when I barely lost weight each week. Luckily, my goal wasn’t to lose weight but to change my habits and be healthy – and it worked.
While we’re at it, there’s nothing wrong with your willpower. You’re simply using the wrong approach. I made health, not weight loss my goal and stopped asking, “Can I eat this?” and started reminding myself that, “I am allowed to eat anything. What do I truly feel like?” Food became a choice. When I stopped trying to control food, food stopped controlling me. While at first, I wanted to eat lots of the foods I had previously made forbidden, with time – I started to crave healthy options because I knew all foods are allowed.
You beautiful I'm sure of this .. you just grieving for you old body.. embrace you size , just remember there is one you and u beautiful no matter what size shape or gender u are ... love and celebrate u ..
@sensitiveHickory4356 feeling fat is how YOU perceive YOURSELF but not how others perceive/see you. we as people see flaws in our body we want to fix while others see us as perfect in our own way. You are beautiful and you need to embrace that. Yes we and our bodies have our ups and downs but that does not mean we should bring ourselves down for it and make ourselves feel like we dont matter. You are Beautiful so is it worth it for making you feel sick?
