"Here are the some of the best ways to manage your emotions and transform them into creative energy when everything seems like falling apart.

1. Express

Draw. Create Music. Dance. Act.

Whatever you like and you are comfortable with, express your emotions in the form of something creative be it an art, a painting, some music, a dance, a song or an act.

Once you have done it, you will slowly fell the negative emotion within you is getting empty. Gradually, it’s going away. And it’s getting filled with something better.

2. Write

Reflect. Think. Remember. But Write.

Pain and sorrows compound when you remember the past. They magnify as you think. They hurt when you remember.

But once you decide to pen down your pain, it means the story is coming to an end. It means you have decided to give yourself a voice, and are making a choice to be at peace.

3. Physical Activity

Walk. Run. Swim. Trek. Do Boxing.

Get yourself active. If you like heavy activities like boxing and swimming, go for it. Incase you feel you are fine with running, do that. If nothing, even an hour of quick walk helps.

The trick here is getting your mind away from rethinking over the same issue and involving yourself in something productive.

4. Tears

Wash it away. Let it go. Release the pent up emotions within yourself and let it flow.

5. Time

Time has the answer. Just keep moving. Express. Write. Involve yourself in physical activities. Post a picture. Compose a poem. Go out for a walk. Leave everything else to time."

Warning: This post may go on a road trip down Rambleoff highway and require snacks and a drink,

I think the last one resonated with me the most.

Mornings are so hard. I wake up in some proverbial lake of fire and brimstone (Wait. What actually is brimstone? Is it actually a stone or is it some esoteric way to say you're filled to the brim with blocks and barriers that keep everything good out and everything bad in?)...either way it sucked. I was the most aggressive night owl.

Anyway for years I used to lay there for hours after waking up listening to my mind destroy every aspect and dream and goal and motivation and discipline and shred of dignity and truth and of kindness.

If lifting a finger a couple centimetres felt like lifting oceans of regret and trigger a frenzied galactic onslaught of punishing thoughts then getting up was out of the question.

Only so was staying in bed.

This riddle tortured me for years. I began listening to a meditation in the morning and evening. It didn't require getting up. It delayed time by doing something that seemed very productive somehow while still doing nothing.

And most importantly it took some of the focus off what a failure and loser and abject humiliation I was (Okay, thought and believed I was.) enough to soften a blows a fractional amount - like having water wings on while lost in the middle of an ocean during a storm.

Then I would do a morning routine of some kind. Make bed and coffee. Brush teeth. Shower. Get dressed.

My mind would be full of the fog of a thousand lochs filled with berserkers but it would be done. Each thing felt like a mountain climbed. Each was tiring but gave a bit of self esteem, of confidence for the next.

The doubt won many times. Often I would make mistakes, miss chances and flub opportunities: Hindsight is 20/20 and is such a cruelty.

I mean, I talk about this like it isn't still happening. It is. I listen to a meditation in the morning and evening and do the routine boring things to try regain some piece of myself in order to feel less like I'm not in some karmic cosmic nightmare.

I don't know if it's working or what it's doing; believing in something I can't see, hear, taste, touch or smell feels odd to me and even wrong.

What choice do I really have though beyond continuing on?

So the last one resonated most with me because doing things, even if it feels wrong, even if I don't want to, even if it's the 'wrong time' or in the 'wrong way' feels somehow more helpful than doing nothing, but I don't know how legitimate that is.

@Dallady

Yay for continuing to listen to your morning and evening meditations and pushing yourself to stick to your routine, even when it feels difficult or uncomfortable!! You’re resilience is showing <3

It's okay if you don't know how legitimate it is or if it's really "working." What's most important is that you're taking small steps towards taking care of yourself.

Which is great in itself! Even if it doesn't feel like it's making a huge difference right now, each small action you take is a step in the right direction.

I hope that you continue to find ways to transform your emotions into positive energy and that you're able to find some peace and happiness in your daily routine. Thanks so much for sharing Dallady <3 💜

thanks joy, y'all are repping your name hard but I don't know if all that is true; seems like I can work hard as I want on myself but it's not doing a damn thing against the information overload and mess that we call life. Dr. Matè is pretty certain we will not see any changes in that structure in any of our lifetimes. It just all feels very futile because it's hard to climb and keep climbing a hill that doesn't have an apex. Thanks for the nice vibes though and saying all that.
