How to stay motivated with limited spoons?
I'm finding getting/staying motivated to do certain things is really difficult. My body 'punishes' me for doing things, even little. Some typical advice is to start small, but if I do the little things it's just going to decrease my spoons and I might not have the spoons to do the important big things.
@AffyAvo I have a similar problem so I empathise. I guess I would suggest you could try and work out your priorities, and see what you can get help from other people. I don't know if that is possible for you though?
@resourcefulPond1641 I am lucky in that I have help. I agree the prioritizing is important too.
The motivation still really lacks at times too. It's also very different now from when things first got bad. Then there were lots of things I wanted to do but just couldn't. While I still have that issue at times there's the added issue of having to do ongoing things knowing how poorly they make me feel and that this is going to continue for the long term.
@AffyAvo, I am sorry you are going through that. Starting small can be hard. When I feel extremely demotivated, I close whatever I was doing, and do something else for a while. The motivation comes back on its own.
