See yourself as confident,successful and one of a kind

Lives are stories and each of us carries a book with us. This book is our connection to the things around us and it is our ability to experience this world. I guess you could say it is our mental and emotional sight. You see, even people with depression carry a book, but it?s one that seems as though it isn?t worth reading. Our books are filled with blank thoughts, lack of description, and diluted and grey images. This means that we are inept to seeing the world the way others do. But the worst part is that, in spite of this, we get to watch others read their stories with open eyes and eagerly flip their pages as they experience all the colour and vibrancy of life. They see what we are unable to, and we get to stand there looking on through our blank adjective-lacking pages and watch. Sounds pretty boring and frustrating doesn?t it? But the thing is, our stories lack emotion, so we?re numb to even feeling despair over lack of feeling at all. Quite confusing isn?t it? This is why a semi-colon is so powerful. We are the authors of our books, and when our stories take a turn for the worst due to something that we can?t control, a lot of us decide to flip to the ending. A semi-colon is where an author could?ve ended a sentence but decided not to. Semi-colons represent continuing on through those seemingly pointless blank pages and moving in pursuit of those vibrant colours once again, and I know you, yes you lovely, are capable of exactly that. You know how I know? Because you woke up this morning when you didn?t want to. Because you?re breathing right now while you?re being suffocated. Because you are strong even when you shouldn?t have to be. Because you are a fucking warrior and I?m proud of you.

Today is great. You know why? Because you woke up. You got out of bed. You did something, even if it feels like nothing. Every breath you take is an achievement.

Today is great. You know why? Because even though it?s cold, the world is going through the seasons. It?s not raining today, or snowing. You felt the sun on your skin, even if it?s just through the window because you knew the cold would make you a grump.

Today is great. Because there are people who love you in this world. Yes, even if you?re scoffing at me, there are. You are loved and you have the ability to love others. And that is a blessing.

Today IS a good day. Because you are you, and I love you. You are beautiful, handsome, smart, important, and you can do this.

So keep smiling.

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things arent the way you had hoped they would be. Thats when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down. But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself…. There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them. Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are. So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be. There was an King who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest.., in turn.., to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer, and the youngest son in the Fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted.

The second son said ?no? it was covered with green buds and full of promise.

The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful. It was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.

The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree?s life.

He told them that you can not judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it?s Winter, you will miss the promise of your Spring, the beauty of your Summer, the fulfillment of your Fall.

Moral:

Don?t let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don?t judge life by one difficult season.
Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come.

The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never score....
