Worried about relationship
Hi, I’m having trouble rn, my boyfriend was showing me something him and his best friend were talking about, when he exited out of a video his best friend sent him, I saw a message my bf sent to him of an *** models butt, and he just wrote “sheezus” under it to him.
I wish I didn’t see it
but it’s festering and I’m not sure how to feel about it.
him commenting on other womens bodies even if they are considered a model on there.
he says that he rarely does it, and that he feels like it’s probably super common between friends and stuff, but I can’t get it out of my head and I feel just super worried.
I can stop looking at myself in mirror and fixing my makeup my hair and my clothes before he enters the room because I feel a bit bad about myself now.
I just want to know if my feelings are true or if I’m overreacting.

I think as humans we all look at others and if we find them attractive we usually acknowledge it and move on. It’s natural. He sent that to his friend with the thought you wouldn’t see it. It doesn’t make it right but again we’re human. Just because he finds someone attractive doesn’t diminish how attractive you are or how attracted he is to you. Your feelings are valid and normal. The best thing to do is to sit him down and discuss how it made you feel in a calm manner and let him explain himself to you. But don’t allow your feelings to be pushed aside. They’re valid and how you feel matters!

the question i ask in my head is why do so many internalize a simple comment between friends as more then it is.
Have you ever looked at a male model or celebrity and thought or even commented "wow " ...
do you think your BF will hit the gym change............ his hair etc about it..... Nope because it is a normal thing...and does not diminish your relationship
anyone's comment on someones attractiveness or lack of ..............does NOTHING to your attractiveness ...... when we as women insist they repent and never look at anyone etc ... we ENCOURAGE and start the beginning of secrets and lies..... which are worse then him commenting on a model backside
who is in fact probably PAID hoping to get that reaction ........i am sure she is not worried about what he may have commented to a friend ........
