Pathological liar
Hi.... I have a huge problem. Okay I started working at a restaurant about 4 months ago. I was working 13 hour days serving with no breaks and 6 days a week. One day in July I ended up being a no call no show/ I was so embarrassed that I didn't show up the next day either... The day I did decided to go to work my managers asked where I was . I told them this bullshit story about how I was homeless Andy mom had cancer. Well I ended up quitting that job and I ended up not having a job for 3 months because I couldn't find one. I finally got a new job a few weeks ago and I already have fucked up. I was a no call no show and I didn't know what to tell them because I didn't wanna lose my job so I told them that my mom is in the hospital about to die (she's not). Everyone feels so bad for me at work and I feel so guilty because it's not true... I don't know why I made up these lies maybe someone can answer that question for me
@politeWriter77 - I don't know what would make you tell those lies, but I imagine it could be a sense of feeling trapped and like you need to say something to get out of it. Is this still something that happens a lot today?
