feeling stuck
hi I'm new here and I dont know if this belongs here but lately I've been feeling more depressed than usual. My birthday is on the 14th and I'm going to turn 27 and I feel like my life is just same thing everyday. I recently bought a new car and my job pays me pretty decent but its still not enough to fill this hole in my heart. I also suffer from social anxiety, so I tend to stay home everyday other than for work. I have friends that would push me to go out with them and somethings i feel bad that i dont want to because I overthink stuff like is there going to be a lot of people there for example, they dont force me to leave the house they just tell me that eventually your going to have to do stuff that you cant live like this forever and they're right. last weekend i went to the mall with a friend and his girlfriend and he was telling me that when you have a girlfriend you'll have to take her out and stuff. But the whole time i was thinking to myself "i dont think i can do this." i was literally freaking out inside because of how many people are at this mall. So not to make this too long i just feel like im wasting my life on this anxiety that can probably be easily managed if i face it but i just cant.

Can you force yourself to go a few times and work up to bigger crowds... you are still young but social anxiety is not something that becomes easier with age and even if it lightens how much time do you want to waste to find out? You can do almost anything in life but NO ONE can turn back time.
more people then you realize do not like crowds / do not want to go out but they DO it.... you are not alone in the anxiety pool.

It sounds like anxiety is limiting you from doing things that matter to you. I can relate to that. Crowded places could be overwhelming. Are there any places that you (would) enjoy(ed) having a date? Or spending more time with friends?
@limegreenPeach5350 gives you a giant tiny hug ❤ your not wasting your life, because you can't help being ill (anxiety) it's not your fault. And there's no rush. You have to overcome this by doing a little bit at a time. Don't start big start small. And we are here to help you ❤❤❤ happy birthday. Your doing great
As someone your age who also suffers with bad anxiety, I’ll tell you that meeting a partner who understood my anxiety and depression firsthand has been a game changer. He has so much support to offer because he gets it. And often times we dip out of parties early because we’re both uncomfortable lol and I like that we can relax at home together because it recharges our batteries. It sounds to me like you’re also an introvert and introverts are awesome!
I guess my point is, having anxiety doesn’t make you any less desirable,,worthy of love, or any less capable of finding the right person. It’s usually very unexpected, too. 😊 Just keep being you. I wish you all the luck 🍀
@limegreenPeach5350 You are not alone. I'll be turning 30 this year and I feel the same. Tbh from the past two days I have been feeling anxious about life and the future or even for no reason and I found an article. Attaching it here if you need to read it.
What I learned is it's normal to feel anxious though everything is good around us. We need to appreciate and have gratitude for the things we have in life. Every day doesn't have to be a party day or a happening day. Calm and peaceful days are good too.
To answer your relationship question, When you find someone whom you love and care about, you will love to hang out with them. It will be fun. It doesn't have to be shopping or going out. you can sit at home, have a cup of coffee/glass of wine, and still feel content with life. Everything is great and will always be. You will always find ways to be happy. Btw advance Birthday wishes :).
