I just wanted to share something that I think many people might relate to.

Being involved with mental health related stuff for a while now, whether through journaling (I've been doing that for about a month), talking to listeners, posting here, or researching online (Reddit, YouTube, Google, etc.) has definitely made me more aware of my issues and less in denial about them. It has helped me make slow but steady progress.

For example, I've reduced my screen time (though not every day is the same—it's been up and down, but it's still progress). I've also started going for walks and runs (again, not consistently). As for my porn addiction, it's mostly gone. I watch it rarely, but I'm no longer controlled by it the way I used to be.

At the same time, being so immersed in mental health related stuff also made me overestimate the severity of the issues I had.

@AReineRose Hello! Hooooooonestly, my very first time on 7Cups wasn’t the greatest. It was everything, but helpful and kind. Instead of leaving, it made me want to become a Listener. As a Listener, I’ve met many people and got all kinds of lessons. I’d say it’s so far a heavy but beautiful journey.

Full of varying personalities, characters, cultures, creative, funny, talented and special.minds that I'm greatful for ♥️🥰💜

My first time was a little daunting, but I love the energy of all of the listeners here and the support.

7 cups is the best I've never told someone my darkest secrets but here everyone listens jeez that's unique telling someone something secretive without him/her judging you is superb.

@AReineRose I love seven cups.  I joined earlier today and had the most amazing conversation.  It was uplifting, educational and heartwarming.  I am very grateful for this site.
