my story

1) I feel like I am sensationalizing and overestimating things in my head.
Does that make sense?

2) I might have a mild headache and slight fever today

3) Sometimes I feel that I might need help from too many people for too many things, sometimes I feel that I might turn out to be too needy and I just feel that I am beyond help.

4) We have a Psychologist/Counselor at my college but I feel if I go to her and I get comfortable in sharing all my stuff(that includes everything, literally), I fear the things I would share with her might not remain between the two of us, she might feel the need to share with someone in the college or my parents and I don't f.u.c.k.i.n.g want that to happen.

5) Being involved with mental health related stuff for a while now, whether through journaling (I've been doing that for about a month), talking to listeners, posting here, or researching online (Reddit, YouTube, Google, etc.) has made me overestimate the severity of the issues I had. I feel that I am making connections with people "online" but the issue that I have that is "isolation" doesn't really change unless I go and talk to people "in-person". And I have started progressing in that front slowly, I have a few friends and I try to talk (just trying to talk feels like huge progress)

On the other hand, It helped me a lot, like it definitely made me more aware of my issues and less in denial about them. It has helped me make slow but steady progress.

For example, I've reduced my screen time (though not every day is the same—it's been up and down, but it's still progress). I've also started going for walks and runs (again, not consistently). As for my porn addiction, it's mostly gone. I watch it rarely, but I'm no longer controlled by it the way I used to be.

@wittyBlackberry3822

 Sounds like you are making progress so i am happy for you... I get the fear of talking and sharing all and does it go any farther then that person. i also get no matter how helpful online person may be an in person connection feels different more solid not isolating.

people want instant fixes problems solved ASAP and they do not celebrate the small wins you have had... celebrate those things and trust yourself. you will know if you find someone you can openly confide ....even professionals are not  one size fits all.

@toughTiger6481

Hey!, yesterday I called my sister and after that I called my Mom and I said to both of them to make this habit  that at the end of our call we'll say "Love you!" to each other, we started it today and we'll continue it forever. 😇

You can try your version of it doesn't have to be "Love you" you can do or say anything, but you can try doing it with people who mean something to you and whom you are close with.
