Gratitude turns what we have into enough (Melody Beattie)

Hey @globalBraid3744 , amazing thread to encourage practicing gratitude!
Three things I am grateful for are, life ~ which includes everything hehe but okay the other two are, loved ones and 7 cups !
How about you ? ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
This is beautiful response Sun!
I am grateful for many things in my life, including having a roof over my head, for loving family and friends, and for being able to study! I think it is very important to appreciate things we take for granted. Because lots of people are not fortunate to be healthy or they do not have what to eat etc... So I try to be mindful of all these things.
@globalBraid3744
Aw thankyou , I love your list as well , so much to be thankful for which we other times take for granted ( unintentionally even ) !
I so agree with you, not everyone is fortunate equally but everyone can try and find gratitude for what they have ! It's also about perspective ,I feel ❤
I am unable to recall who said this but it's a very famous line /quote , " I stopped complaining for not having a pair of shoes when I saw a man who didn't have a pair of legs " ( I hope i quoted that right lol, feel free to correct ,anyone <3 )
This one speaks so highly of being grateful for what we already have, because someone out in the world might not have that ): ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
I completely agree with you! This is a beautiful quote and highlights the importance to seek positive things in our life. Dr. Frankl said that everything can be taken from a human except one thing - freedom for our attitude in any given set of circumstances.
@globalBraid3744
That is really powerful to hear, makes alotttt of sense , thanks for sharing ❤
Hi @globalBraid3744!
I'm grateful for my family, my life as a student and the wonderful food I get to eat everyday!
I think to show grateful I like to first think about what I'm being grateful about (sometimes I can forget to do so after a busy day). I usually like to journal or take a 30 minute "empty space" time to just think about what I'm grateful for during the day.
@sunnyWriting4806
Thank you for your response. This is an amazing habit of having a gratitude journal or simply taking "empty space" time to look at nice things that happened on that day. I can imagine that it boosts your mood at the end. Not all our days are good, but we can find a small good thing in almost every day I believe.
