Step #50 today. I have learned that taking time out of the day for myself actually helps me be more productive.

Last night I was able to fall asleep after working on my growth path without letting memories of my past bother me.

I learned that accepting what things are instead of trying to change them is the quickest way to healing. (Even if it doesn't immediately feel good.)

I learned that dealing with forgiveness, you have too come at peace with yourself and forgive yourself for letting it take over your daily things in your life. Also Forgive the person.

I hope I can overcome my 3 year battle with depression, avpd, and the thought of "permanent romantic rejection" through this :)

@Dovid

Hey, Dovid, I just wanted to encourage you to hang on and keep fighting that heavy-weight beast on your back (aka: depression). I fought a long 3.5 year deep, dark, unrelenting depression, & was giving up on myself and life because I didn't believe the torturous depression would EVER lift/break/end.

I finally decided it would be in my best interest to go inpatient and see if that might help. And, it did. The doctor at the hospital changed two of my medications, and the therapies offered were remarkably beneficial.

The depression lifted slowly, but I have been, for the most part, depression-free for going on 4 glorious months. Dovid, if you can't hang on and continue fighting your depression (while you see no light anywhere in, or near the ever-extending, pitch-black tunnel), reach out and get more help in fighting your battle. You don't have to fight that beast single-handedly. I genuinely hope your depression disappears very soon. I'm rooting for you!
