I reached #10 and learned that you can really improve your mood by writing down something you did well or accomplished. It makes it more real in a way.

@GlenM clenching and unclenching your toes can help control anxiety!

I'm at Step 10.

Unlike with the Progress Path we have as Listeners, I find the Growth Path to be really helpful and relaxing. It gives me a boost of confidence to see that cup filling up and knowing I'm keeping close to the community. As a Listener I don't really see it making any change in the way I act/do anything.

Hi, I'm on step 80. I have been asked to relate something I have learned. I think that it might be more appropriate to consider that value of coming here and participating in the activities on a regular basis. Learning about mindfulness is helpful in understanding ourselves and controling our emotions. Thinking about positive things such as what we are thankful for and what we have accomplished or done well builds us up. I have been enjoying the videos and find value in them. The deaf woman hearing her husband's voice was touching. The video about the man with Down's syndrome owning his own resteraunt was very upbuilding. These things are not so much about learning, but about our feelings and attitude.

I have found out that the person that judges me the most is myself. I have also found out that I am not always right. What I think and feel doesn't have that much power over my actions, so I don't spiral down that much.

I'm learning that a key component to my happiness lies in overcoming my fears & insecurities with others and to engage more. Unhappiness is rooted in isolation. A small step is to open my windows and doors.

@aztikiman - People who have been there (or are there) will totally understand that just opening a curtain, a window, a door is in fact not a small step at all, but a very big and brave one! Well done!

I've reached #120!

Unfortunately, I can't really celebrate...my anxiety is still bad, and my depression is starting to come back as graduation looms closer. But I know that with the support of my boyfriend and my sister, I can keep going :)

@TheLPSoldier - I think you deserve to celebrate. You can celebrate that you are still here, taking the steps that you can, doing what you can, trying every day to move towards a healthier and more fulfilled life. Sometimes we need many small steps to see a change and sometimes we feel that we are regressing, but falling a few steps backward is just part of the journey we are all on. It happens. And then we ask for help, pick ourselves up and continue our journey forward. You are doing it. I applaud you.
