I'm learning to be more positve!
It's been a week on my progress to becoming a better me. So far I would like to say I'm doing the best I can for myself.
@helloheather - No one can ask more of you than doing the best you can.
#30 and I'm still here
You know, I forgot what step I'm on. Might be 80? 90? Well anyway, I'm learning that stability isn't what I'm used to, but it doesn't have to be boring...and definitely not bad.
@HereForTheCoffee - Can you please share more about this? I'm not sure I understand.
@Chiaroscuro1 Sure. Basically what I meant is when my bipolar disorder was going untreated my life was very unstable, and since I've been treating it it's gotten far more stable. However, I've been feeling lately that the stability is boring. But a talk with my therapist convinced me that stability doesn't have to be dull, and it's always better than the instability I had before.
I just made it to step 30! It feels good to make steps towards a more positive life.
I'm leaning on thinking of myself more peacefully and letting go of anxiety and anger. I'm learning to not push the bad thoughts away, but to confront them. To acknowledge they are there and acknowledge they are there for a reason.
I think one of the most interesting things to have learned here is absolutely how many people struggle with anxiety, depression, etc. I just want to extend a big group hug to everyone and be cliche by saying we're in this together 💕🌞🌺
Very thankful that I found this site :)
@oliverwhm
Thank you being here. <3 I'm so glad this place helps you.
I'm on step 40 now. :)
@SerenadeNeko13
Congratulations for getting to step 40! :D Keep it up, and best of luck to you to achieve more. :)
I'm on step 10. :) It's only been a couple of days, but I'm learning again the value of checking in with myself periodically--doesn't have to be big, doesn't have to be heavy. Just gently tuning in.
And, too, knowing that if I get to a point of needing to talk to someone wholly outside of my whirl, *7 Cups is here*... That alone lightens the load.
Thank you, you who run the site & you who listen & you who also walk the paths, for being & being here. I'm glad of you.
@Stand8
Your words are wise, or at the very least I agree with them. :p There is great value in learning to be in tune with ourselves, and you will always be welcome here when you need someone to talk to. :) Thank you too, for walking your path.
