Find peace in my mind
Hi Everyone, I've reached step 130. I want to express that it is a benefit to come here regularly. I have been visiting every day and it has become a pleasant habit, a restful interlude that I look forward to.
@alonesomeryder
Congratulations on getting to step 130, and I'm overjoyed you've found being on here such a restful experience. :)
Im finally starting to feel like im in control of my life.
@stayingokay
You don't ever have to feel you're completely out of control. *hugs* You'll always have some. I'm glad things feel different now.
@guidingMusic - Thank you for saying this. This reminded me of the fact that I have control over how I respond. And it was a relief to remember. This is why repeating the same thing over and over again can actually have meaning and be useful.
@Chiaroscuro1
Yeah, you have control in your choices and the decisions you make. ^^ Hope whatever you're repeating is a healthy activity. :p
Although that reminded me of this tale that when Da Vinci was young, his art teacher made him draw an egg every day, over and over. I mean there obviously wasn't any way he could get it perfect, but it forced him to really take notice of the details. Thought it was an interesting story. :p
@guidingMusic - I like that. Thank you for sharing it with me. He probably also had to come to a realization for himself that he couldn't get it done perfectly and that that is okay too. Sometimes something can't be perfect, but at some point it is good enough.

I am learning to breathe slowlu to calm down and reduce anxiety
@Dancersoul
That's wonderful. <3 If you haven't heard of it before, maybe you'd like to try out deep breathing? This webpage discusses how to do it, and it can be used for general anxiety and panic attacks. https://www.anxietycoach.com/breathingexercise.html There's also this exercise, which might help with anxiety too. https://www.7cups.com/exercises/mindfulness112/ Take care. <3
