I learned a lot about being patient. Being patient is very important and not to push things too fast.

Hi Everyone, I have reached step 290. I listened to a midfulness lesson about talking to your mentor. I realized that the mentor I had been imagining might not have been as helpful as he could be, so I have been thinking about a new one, some ideal that fits my new mindfulness better. Perhaps this sound a little off the wall to some, but to me this is a departure from the person I used to be who was lacking self-confidence. -Dave

@alonesomeryder - That sounds very positive to me. It reminds me of this quote: "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." [Sources differ about where the quote came from exactly.]

That it's natural to wander during meditation, and that it can actually be useful to take conscience of some unfinished thoughts. I used to feel bad if I wandered, but, now, even though I know I should avoid it most of the time, I don't punish myself mentally for doing so.

@th3garts its okay to wonder. It takes you to beautiful places!

@th3garts - That's a really great realization on your mindfulness and meditation journey. I'm very glad to hear that you don't punish yourself for it anymore. It is the nature of the mind to wander.

Step 70

I have to admit that I am a little proud of myself for being consistent with 7 cups. In the past when I would do something that helped my mental state I always end up quitting. I have been making sure to come here for almost 2 months almost everyday.

@Introvert1190 me too. This has helped me stay in a good mental place.

I wish you many continued self mental hugs & love.
