What I've learned is that it's a journey and to reflect on how far I've come, how much I've learned and how many wonderful people I've met. When I'm going trough another difficult time, I remind myself of several things: this too shall pass, I'm not alone, I'm worth it, don't believe everything you think and most importantly, no matter how alone I feel, there's a community of caring people standing with me!

Step 140. Life is a roller coaster and you gotta be willing to go along for the ride.

April 18th, 2016

@CleopatraElizabethI

Yeah. You can't halt the tracks forever, even if that's what might be needed occassionally.

Take care.

Level 99! I learned that I don't get as much sensory overload issues when I meditate every day. Usually, going to a baseball game wears me out pretty quickly because of the noise, the crush of people (and jerks), and just the jostling of so many people in one place. But we went to a game last night and, in the 8th inning, my husband asked me, "How's the sensory overload for you?" And I realized that I hadn't felt it at all! I hadn't even remembered it. That was a good lesson to learn: my wits are not so easily frayed.

April 18th, 2016

@Someone01

Heh, no emotions don't have to cause us to be out of control. Sounds like you're doing it. :)

I have reached step 20 on my Path.

Through these past few weeks I have learned how important it is to take time for yourself so you can be balanced and calm. I have started to learn how important self-love is. I have also learned that although it seems daunting, talking to someone, even a stranger anonymously, can be a very big help.

April 18th, 2016

@safetypinstotherescue

Balance and calm. I like that. :) And yeah, I agree self love is important, if only because just one of the many problems arising from not having it is that if we dont believe we're worthy of something, we'e a lot less likely to go for it.

I'm glad you've found people to talk to. :)

@Playingwithstring

I guess it always is that, a work in progress. Don't stop. <3
