Step 180! Took awhile this time but it's another milestone.

I was on a 30 day streak buy I missed a day. Work is starting to get busy and I have been actually happy lately. I forgot about being depressed and taking a step. Is that a good or bad thing? I'm still working on my steps everyday. I'm going to stay happy and busy because being depressed is so hurtful to me and a lot of the time I felt worthless and things for other people would be better without me. I'm not there anymore though. I'm happy with my life. I will have bad days but I'm moving forward to get away from my bad days and better myself and my mind.

@samd136

I'm glad you're doing what you can and trying. *hugs* It's really not a good or bad thing to miss a step, they're not defining measures of progress made.

I'm glad you're moving on with your life. Take care.

@Musiciscool12 - I agree. Even if it is just because you need this day to get to the next day.

#1 lesson I have learned (at step 20) is that I can control the thoughts I have that help to shape the feelings and I can keep myself from forming too many expectations of "outcomes" that can lead to disappointments. Have a grateful day!

@Happiheather

Great! ^^ Keep up the good work. Hope you'll have a grateful day too!

Level 128, learning how to say no to things that will cause me pain, keeping my composure and not falling for intense conversations, getting out of the rut,

@Birdwatching I feel you :) trying to do the same but it is very hard sometimes and uncomfortable.

@SweetMango the more stress I feel the more pain I'm in, so saying no is getting easier, my parents love to argue about everything, it's a control thing with them, I've fallen for it way to long, ex. Husband been using there van while his truck has been down, I need mine today, so she started yelling and insulting, so I told her I'll take my husband to work, van will be here, and I'll have mine, her words, no, no ,no, that won't work. I went in the kitchen to fix dinner, husband answered my phone mom started screaming at him, he screamed problem solved and you are not going to be screaming at me. She's upset now. I'm not, I'm not stressed, I'm not in pain, I didn't fall in the rut.

@SweetMango day 2 mom still isn't speaking to me. Dad's doing the abrasive phone calls. Answered 2 to let him know what's going on from client, ignored the other 6 calls. Having a flare up today, so I'm moving pretty slow, but got work finished.😊
