You're not alone in the struggle and you didnt choose to feel this way.

April 30th, 2016

@Shura Definitely a good thing to remember that we're not alone. Whenever I feel alone I try a few of the meditations I've learned here at 7 Cups.

I learned a bit more about helping myself with anxiety heart

April 30th, 2016

@intuitiveFriend4218 I too have struggled with anxiety. It feels good to know that there's something - sometimes as simple as breathing - that can help soothe me. You're doing great!

i've lost my streak twice in the past 10 steps but in a way this is good because those were some really difficult days and it tells me something that i never called "time out" and took even 5 minutes to take care of myself on my growth path!

@kindofblue Self care and relaxtion have always been underestimated. Give urself the " 5 min" and see the difference. Try some of the mindfulness exercises, which are very effective even when done for a few minutes only. best wishes.

@kindofblue - The streak is there to motivate you, but not to rule you. You do what is best for you, and if that means you start your streak from day 1 again, what does that matter? Take care of yourself, do what is right for you. Every time you make a good decision for yourself, do something for yourself, take good care of yourself, those are the things worth counting. And they add up. We can't see it somewhere on a screen, but they add up and it is much more important than a streak. If you are in a good habit of caring for yourself and giving yourself what you need, then you don't need a streak to remind you to do it. Well done for taking those few minutes for yourself.

Well done for taking those minutes for yourself, whether it is on your growth path or anything else you know will be good for you. If ever you feel you need a little time away from 7 cups that is perfectly okay. And if you want to come back, you will be very welcome.

@Chiaroscuro1 - thanks i agree. i like the motivation of the streak but it is not the real point

I've learned that when I'm feeling really depressed it's always helpful to take time for myself to relax and be in the moment and think of the good things in life. Even if it doesn't make everything better, it gets me into a rhythm of taking time myself and prioritizing my mental health.
