I've learned that, if I breath and focus my urge to cut will start melting away.

I will be kinder to myself

May 28th, 2016

Over the course of the past few months, I have overcome a severe depression followed by intense anxiety. What I have learned from this life hurdle and through support via 7 cups is that not only am I not alone but also that each person's challenge is individual. I know these sound like opposites but it is what it is; what I am going through is simply not identical to what another is.

That being said, all of our different experiences lead us each to have a way of helping others in what they are living, be it through advice, sharing similar experiences or simply being there to listen, to hear one another when it sometimes seems like no one is around.

Furthermore, I have learned to accept what I have been living through and deal with each day as God gives it to me, doing the best I can with what I am handed. It is not always a fight; sometimes I simply need to embrace what I am feeling and accept it for what it is in order to grow stronger from it as it moves along.

I leanred to be more accepting of myself, despite of what others may think of me.

@Phan08 - That is very important. What we think of ourselves does not have to be connected to what others think of us. Good job!

I guess the best thing I have learned recently is that I dont need to be in a hurry or understand what I am doing here instantly. I have recieved help and moved forward steadily.

@came2believe - Absolutely. You grow at your own pace and understanding comes with time or else the acceptance of life as a mystery.
