I am learning to enjoy the present

July 12th, 2016

@dearhomebody23

Learning to live in the present moment! Sounds like a wonderful mindfulness-based technique! I agree, it's a great lesson to have learned, to live in the moment, not being overly focused on the past or the future.

@sanchez1996 I agree! It's hardest to keep going during tough times but that's exactly when we should never give up. Keep up the great work Sanchez!

I have learnt that even when I think I cant do something that if I dig a bit deeper and find that confidence in me that I sometimes am unable to see, that I can often achieve what felt impossible and terrifying and yet end up feeling proud, content and happy in myself

enlightened What I learned so far is something I already knew from subliminal training, but it is reemphasized here. Think of the good. Think of the good. Feel good about the good. There is good. Look forward to more good. Little counts. There are lots of little. Little means so much to me, that when I do or give something little...it too is big to someone else. A big tre is composed of lots of little leaves. Together they make shade, comfort.

@1herefishyfishy3 That is so true. There is something good in everyday and the little things can make all the difference. I'm glad 7 Cups helped reinforce that. :)

I've learned that when I'm having panic attacks and feeling as though the weight of the world is crushing me, to just take a moment to reach out to someone. It helps to bring me back to reality and to recognize that not only can I not do this by myself, but that I don't have to either.

@Amerilys That makes me smile. You're right. You don't have to go through it alone, and there are people who would love to help. ❤️

This may not seem like much, but I just hit my 10th marker on my growth path.

I was initially very keen and on top of keeping to a step a day for the first week. However I've not been great lately and haven't been online since early last month.

I came online tonight (it's nearly 3am here) because essentially I'm feeling sucidial (again) tonight and I was trawling the internet for guidance and I found myself back here. I thought I would take the opportunity to distract myself by completing some steps and do some mindfullness activities.

Don't get me wrong, I still feel horrific and low as hell. However, I feel calmer and more in control. This is indescribabley valuable. So thank you. xx

What I've learned is that if you wish to help someone, than dont doubt yourself. Just be supportive and try your best. It's alright to not always know what to say. Just be supportive. ❤
