@Northwestgirl - You really aren't alone! As you say, there are so many people out there just like you, as well as so many people wanting to both help and support you. I'm really glad you've learned this.. it's so incredibly great to have you here! Good luck with everythinglaugh

To be myself, no matter what. To accept my true self.

And

To not compare myself to others

And finally

That I am not alone in this journey.

@GlenM

To realise that there's usually a way out of your problems and you should understand that those around you love you despite what may have happened.

It has been over one week since the break up and I am growing stronger slowly as an young, independent woman and I am thankful for my family and friends to get me through this time!

Step 220. I don't feel like I've learned or grown at all. Tried to stay positive but if I did, I'd just be being dishonest.

Three cheers to your honesty!! And step 220 is more than awesome. :) it shows your dedication. You say that you don't feel that you learnt or grew at all. Do the people around you think the same? May be you're under the "teenage spell"? Remember, as teenagers we grew taller and everyone but us could feel that...

@satanClaus

Others have said that I seem to be making progress... but I don't feel any better. :/

Progress I've made in therapy...

When first going to therapy I was a lifeless shell of myself. I've been in therapy for almost nine months and have done many things. From accomplishing over ten of my personal goals to becoming a happier, more living self, I can say I am proud of myself and my progress.

@PiercingGuy32 Wow, good job! I'm glad to hear therapy is working well for you. I'm sure more awesome things lie ahead. Keep it up!
