Practicing mindfulness has been very helpful to soothe myself and focus on others, but one of the most important things I've been learning is that I am enough.

i learned that I should ignore and remember to breathe to calm down

So far on my journey I've learned patience is key. Having hope. Not allowing my fears to block me from my own happiness. I'm learning that it's okay to make mistakes. Sometimes it's hard to have made those mistakes but that's what growth comes from. The anxiety won't last as long as I think it will.

@understandnelle That is a wonderful realization! It takes a lot of reflection to see that patience is important. Implementing is even harder, so kudos to you for acheiving that!

The more you practice good habits, the better and stronger man you become.

To start with a new habit make it an easy work for you to do so that you can do it every day, for example, meditate for 5-10 minutes.

Also choose such a habit which brings immediate positive results from the very beginning (meditation, freewriting, prioritizing, studying some useful things for 5-10 minutes a day, etc).

Make the habit practice concrete: decide where and when you will practice it. Tie it with a specific signal (for example, I will meditate for 5 min. before going to sleep - here the time for sleep is the signal).

And enjoy the feeling of getting more focused, strong, organized, creative, productive, happier and better version of yourself.

Sorry for my English, I am not native speaker.

@zhanir

Good for you! I love the idea of creating a concrete habit that you practice daily. It seems super effective! I am trying to do that for myself as well. Glad to see it is working for you :)

I've learned to be more mindful of situations and emotions. Hasn't really been much of a help for most of my problems, but hopefully with practicing every day and trying to keep hope, it will.

@lemortvivante The change doesn't come quickly or sometimes we don't see it, but others do. Either way, mindfulness is a great practice to take on. Keep it up! :)
