Feeling accomplished. Working through my steps
@DarcyFw - That's awesome! Keep up the good work!
@DarcyFw That's amazing! Congratulations :)
1 week on the site, 20th step.
My journey of a thousand steps towards being a better healthier me was finally started on the 13th, so the last 8 days has been a flood of information and insight on bipolar. It was a long time coming, and I have a long way to go to get out of the abyss because of it, but the acceptance and help has progressed a lot since I first had issues.
In the week on here according to my tracking app, while the depression score is more or less the same as day 1, the overall well-being score has gone up... not much but I'll take it. The understanding and compassion shown by members and listeners here is refreshing, being able to open up without being told to just suck it up.
Some days are 1 step forward, 2 steps back... but as long as I keep reminding myself that I am not my bad days, and that things will eventually get better, it's only a question of what will come out the other end of this journey.
@Phoenix84 - Woah!! This is so inspirational to read
You've acheived so much in such a short amount of time! I'm really glad that 7cups has provided you with your first great step to helping you with your issues, and that's awesome that you've already learned to accept them. I'm really so happy to hear how much support and understanding you've already received from 7cups! I really am so happy too that 7cups has allowed you to create such a good journey already! I wish you all the best with everything, good luck!
@Nicola2468
As noted, this has been a long time coming. I reached out 16yrs ago for a helping hand and was entirely ignored... so I locked it all away as long as I could. Lots of time to accept the issues. And apparently my old doc didn't put much down on paper, because the doc I've had for 11yrs now only knew about the last 5-6yrs of issues... he was pretty sure about it after hearing the history (nevermind the scores on the tests he had me fill out).
I know my family is already treating me differently after I finally filled them in on what I was hiding, now folks are walking on eggshells around me. Which is surprising given family history.
Stay positive my friends, ALWAYS!!!
@Aragorn26 - Really inspirational! Thankyou for sharing

I really don't know...
@helpfulJar4772 - That's okay.. sometimes it may feel like you aren't making much progress or learning anything, but that's okay! We're really glad to have you here

I'm on step 98. Even though there are setbacks, things are getting better. I've learned that even things that seem extremely difficult (like making a phone call to seek conflict over a business complaint) are still doable and sometimes even rewarding.
@carefulBanana3419 - Woah, step 98 is awesome! I'm really happy to hear that things are getting better for you, and you're learning that some things aren't as bad as they seem - keep you the great work! And I wish you all the best
@carefulBanana3419 That's an amazing realization! There's nothing like facing your fears and beating them! I'm proud of you, keep it up <3
