Woo-hoo step number thirty! I have learned what a difference it makes to set aside time everyday to care for my emotional well-being. I can face so much more when I'm eating well, drinking water, sleeping, and getting exercise. Self-care is difficult for me, but it is important. Can't pour from an empty cup!

@ivoryIdea902 - Wow! This is so great to read. I'm glad to hear that even though self care may be hard for you; it's still making a great difference, and impacting you in a positive way! I find that self love and self care really can be keylaugh That's a really nice quote too, thankyou so much for sharing!smiley

I've learned depression can't be ignored. It will come back worse if you try to ignore it.

In reflecting on what I am thankful for, I realised that I take a lot of things for granted. I have a good life and can do it :)

I have learned that even though it's easy to allow yourself to become all worked up over someone and giving them the attention he/she wants, it's much more rewarding to just move on and enjoy yourself.

@Mouse83 That's true. Sometimes the more rewarding things are harder to do. Moving on from someone you deeply care about is not easy. You are doing a great job! You deserve all that self-love my friend. ❤️

Self care and balancing the different aspects of your life is hard, but also really important. It took slowly crashing to understand that, but still.

@TabbyPhoenix Self-care can be challenging to practice. I'm sorry you had to learn the hard way, but I'm glad you learned nonetheless. Keep at it, you are doing great!

I've learned that it's quite possible meditation is the tool that was missing from my toolbox. After trying so many different things to deal with addiction, anxiety, and lack of emotional control, meditation has come to save the day. Wow! I never knew sitting quietly could do so much for the body and mind.

@limegreenmelody Yay! I'm so happy meditation is having such a profound effect on you. I practice meditation myself. Keep at it my friend. Namasté ❤️
