14 day streak, step 50...

In the 2 weeks since I joined here, 3 weeks since the episode that was the catalyst for seeking treatment finally, there has been a flood of information and insight into mental health. The compassion and understanding on this site is outstanding.

It's a shame resources like this were not available when I first had issues, but then both acceptance and understanding have come a lONG way in 16yrs. I love being part of this family.

This part of the journey I have learned that slipping out of my regular routine triggers me. Just knowing that is priceless because it is easy to change!

@GlenM - I learned that if I continue to avoid my fear of facing a situation, the more afraid and anxious I become about facing it in the future.. so I need to be brave blush

@GlenM

I've learned that I am not alone in my battle.. I've learned that it is okay to ask for help and not suffer alone in silence...

I've learned to be more focus and more thankful for the things, I have... and not overthink about certain things that are not meant to be for me..

I've learned that it is okay to be myself, and express my thoughts, emotions and feelings in a healthy respectful way..

I've learned to care and love myself more each days..

Staying strong includes not letting difficult experiences make us bitter. I am happy and grateful for every moment and know that there is unlimited greatness to follow each difficulty.
