I am on my tenth cup. So, I guess that is a milestone. I learned that being pressured to be positive through an application such as this, turns positivity into a game. It makes it fun. A few days ago, I was miserable. But the application reminding me to think positively and sharing with others, changed my overall mood. I have no idea how long it will last, but I do know that sometimes you need positive pressure from a stranger.
@Larki You did a great job by learning all of this you're doing amazingly, Larki :3
To believe in myself, accept my struggles, reach out and accept support and that I can get better and heal
@Kerry39 To be yourself and believe in yourself!
growth lv 30. mindfulness is helpful
@regret And further still can you go!
I've learnt from a most recent video I've watched that there are different ways in which I can deal with the same situation. I can either deal with it with a negative mindset and make the situation worse,or deal with it with a positive mindset, from which the situation would become better as a whole
@gilbertetoby7 That's so amazing care to share?!
@Istand4peace hey sure! So basically this video was introduced to me by 7Cups itself. It's part of the growth paths to help us members grow.
The video depicts a situation where by "you" in the video hosts a party and invited all your friends to your house party. On that day itself all your friends came. However,an unexpected guest came-he's your neighbour and has been bullying you. You did not want him to come to your party, however he made his way in and disturbed your friends at the party.
You drove him out of your house and went back to join the party. However that neighbour made himself in again and you drove him out again. This time, you stayed by the door to make sure that your neighbour doesn't come in. He didn't,and you wanted to join your friends. But you are afraid that once you leave the door, your neighbour might come in again.
True enough, after you've joined your friends for some time, your neighbour came in by himself.
Now this is the time when you can make a decision-
You can either drive him out of your house again, and he'll invite himself back in when you're not aware. And this cycle will repeat itself. Or you can let him in. Initially,he would feel lonely as there's no one to talk to,but after a while one of your friends went up to him and spoke to him. Soon he began chatting in a nice way too,and you realise that your neighbour isn't that bad after all.
I'm sorry if this is long, but here's roughly what the video was about:)
@gilbertetoby7 That is truly amaazing and it shows how some people do certain things only for the sake of having to do them and not off their wanton!
I've learned that it's important to schedule in activities I enjoy on a frequent basis, otherwise I get too wrapped up in negative thoughts.
@quietDime4559 For you need time to yourself too!
It takes time to heal and recover.
@WhiteBearClub Yet it happens, with time
That there's a bright side to things
@Gwynnie101 And always a positive in the negative
Time heals all wounds. But you cannot rush it. It happens in it's own time.
@JLo59 Indeed and till then, stay strong!
I learned it's more important to enjoy yourself than worry about the small things in life
@Cherrylover985 For you live but once!
