@GlenM No matter what I do, some days will be horrible. Can't overeact.
Let go
So simple but can be the hardest thing in the world to do! @Halliberry
I don't want a relationship. Or at least... don't desperately want one rather than be alone. I'm happy to be on my own.
Step 50, woo!
I'll share a couple of things that I learned and have helped me cope since:
Whenever you feel anxious about something from your daily life (eg. School), try asking yourself "What's the worst thing that could happen?". We tend to overly analyze and catastrophize things.
Whenever you feel demotivated, find a treat or something that motivates you eg. a piece of chocolate if you do your chores, homework, etc.
Video games often aren't the best escape. If you find yourself doing only that in your free time, stop and think "What would I have done to pass the time if it wasn't for video games?". When I did that I found out that I could've learned how to draw, learn to speak another language or two freely or learn programming in the excess time I spent playing video games. Video game addiction is real and we sometims must aknowledge it and stop denying it in order to defeat it. Don't get me wrong, I still play video games but they are not in my mind 24/7, I play at least 3 times less than I used to and since then I started drawing, my sleep quality has become much better and I definitely feel better about myself. There's a long way to go still but baby steps is the key.
If anyone feels like talking, feel free to message me. I'm not a listener but I'm definitely willing to chat.
I haven't learned anything new yet...but still hopeful.
Ten more steps.... These days are not easy... I am trying...
Step 160 but missed few days and now on Day 1 :/ I dont understand that but still proud of my progress.
I have learned to be more patient and understanding and comfortable
It's a new day, it's a new life, in a new place with a new job.
Helps me reframe what I think or feel about negative things when they happen.
still waiting to see how I can change my initial reaction to them so I don't HAVe to reframe it. Says to me--I still have a ways to go on my path.
