30 day streak on my growth path and step 130! I'm really proud of the 30 day streak. Now I'm going to try for the 90 day streak!

I've learned that although on bad days it can seem that everything else is going to be as bad as this, it will get better. It has gotten better in the past. Just go about your normal activities as much as you can and hang in there.

Also, writing thank you cards to people for any random reason really puts me in a great mood.

I've learned to take a minute for myself when I'm feeling overwhelmed and that there are a lot of great people on here

On step 310, I have learned not to get involved in the drama of some of my family, I just don't need any unnecessary stress, have enough of my own

It's okay to speak your mind, but sometimes silence is the better option.

This is my 100th step and I'm also somewhere between a 30 and 60 day streak .... I started this in August with no hopes honestly, it was like my last resort because I couldn't afford therapy and my only other option was to commit myself to an institution of some sort. At first I couldn't do this, write about myself, think about myself, feel good about myself; it's still difficult, some days it's unbearable but I can do it, so I do. Good luck to everybody else on this journey, one day at a time.

I've just reached Step 50, and one of the things I've learned is that I go thorough ups and downs.

Being in an up doesn't mean there will never be a down again. It doesn't mean it wasn't bad in the last down.Being in a down doesn't mean there'll never be an up again. Being in a down doesn't mean I didn't make progress with my last up.

If I want to see something through I have to stick with it.

It's my 60th step I think I've come a long way. I've learned to not focus so hard on the things that upset me and focus on being happy and understanding others.

Step 80

One of the most recent things I've learned is that there is a huge variety of thinking styles that I've never even thought of. I mean, I knew this before, but I think I just came to the realization about how much thinking styles can affect communication and therefore relationships. For example, my mom often misses half (or more) of the things I say and interupts me when I talk. She would also be typing on her computer during a conversation. This hurt me. The problem is I tried to imagine me in her position. With that reasoning, I thought her being on the computer and not talking to me was why she didn't hear what I said. After all, she said that listening to someone talk for long enough is too boring to do for long. Turns out she might have ADHD, and she really can't help it. Her mind is processing many things at once, and she thinks better when multitasking (aka typing during a conversation). When she tried to name all the things her mind noticed at once while driving, 1. she couldn't speak fast enough to do it, and 2. it overwhemed me. Her mind works very differently than mine, and I failed to see the extent of that until now.
