Things I learned recently....

Shame about how far behind I am and not wanting people to find out is making me get further behind. Being open with someone I can trust and reaching out helps.

Also, I think I understand why the labels around femme, butch, soft butch, etc drove me crazy, especially when a dating profile says, like, femmes only or whatever. I've spent my life (and wasted a lot of it) trying to conform to a set of religious *shoulds*. Coming out has been about exploring who *I* am and what *I* want regardless of others' opinions. I don't want to blindly walk into another set of *shoulds*. I don't want to look to others to find out how to be a lesson *right*. I want to look to me to discover how to be myself. my own, authentic self, first in relation to myself and then in relation to everyone else.

Reached the 100 milestone on my growth path and I've learned a lot in the past few days alone. I don't have to continue to "heal" or "fix" myself in order to love/accept myself, or to receive that love and acceptance from others. It's just putting it into practice now. I've been unintentionally thinking "well if I work on this defect, or heal it, THEN I will have the kind of relationships I want" but my higher power has told me all I have to do is to just be me and the people my heart desires to attract into my life, will come along and love me unconditionally. I have believed for so long I needed to be perfect, better, to please others in order to be accepted/liked and not lose my relationships. I surrender these beliefs to my higher power now in exchange for a miracle, a shift in perception. Thank you.
