Step 200! I'm learning a lot more about depression and what exactly my main problems are. I'm finding my own steps I overcome this.

#280: Sick day, second in a row. I've been having a rough time of it, panic attacks, skipping classes, can't seem to do my work, and finals are just around the bend. Perfect time to miss two days of class.....anyhow, here's another, go Dar and all that jazz.....

I am realizing that although we are all unique in our own way, we are really not so different. We all experience pain at sometime in life. It is helpful to have this place to not feel so alone in the world. :)

I've reached Milestone 50! I have learned that shame is a huge part of depression, with most to all people in my experience. Shame is undone when we can open up to others we trust, and share everything that's on our heart. I have learned that mindfulness and self-compassion are incredibly important. Learning to meditate. Not judging yourself for the emotions you feel, but accepting them in each moment. Still struggling with these things, but now I know how important they are. Reaching out and helping others is an amazing experience, and no recovery can be without it. It feels amazing to see someone else in group support or on forums or even from their feed...seeing that where they are now is where you were not-too-long ago. A huge warm hug to anyone who needs one! *Hug*

I am learning that it's ok not to always be ok and that people around me accept that about me too if I just talk to them about it.

80 cups and still moving. Suffering from anxious thoughts and confidence issues. not a great situation at work which is really draining my resources. the motivation is gone after growth option was taken away, yet I am being asked to do more. No connection with coworkers and feel alone, isolated. met with my therapist today, who is really helpful, and she had no recommendation beyond be patient. not sure what happens, hoping this network will give me the will power and encouragement to get to a better place. right now, I am in a challenge of mental stability. Just a rant more than any particular thought. Got to keep on keeping on.

@generousSquare6863 Sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I don't know if you have tried any of the mindful meditations on this site? They're really effective. Might make you sleep better💟. I have also tried a hypnotist. Went 3X and boy did it help me to stop the negative mind chatter. Being patient your therapist said is not easy when you're feeling lost. Just know you are worthy of so much .This site is great for all of us to support one another.💟Hug of support to you.

@ivoryBunny7465 patience is a virtue...or another way of saying it is really hard to find when your anxiety takes hold. Doing a little better tonight after realizing that, in order to enjoy the relief of happiness, I must accept the present patience will come, just never as quickly as we wold like. in the meantime, maybe I'll try a guided meditation. thanks for the generous thoughts.

@generousSquare6863 Really happy to hear you're feeling a bit better tonight. We can be so hard on ourselves and worry to excess. Sometimes we just need to surrender and be gentle on ourselves. Glad you'll try the meditations. ...they are helpful. 😊

I have felt much better than before and I think I did well in the last few days.
