I've learned that the most important part of being happy is letting go of the past and not worrying about things you cannot change or control 😊

I may have ADHD - not sure but I'm going to make an appointment with a psych to see.

Everything's gonna be alright. Just let go of the past and hang on to the present. The future is uncertain but that should only motivate us to enjoy each day as it comes. I don't have to try to be happy this season. I should just focus on accepting life as it is.

I've learnt to not work everything out and not to have such a rigid plan . That way when others change your plan it doesn't mess you up

I've learned to not hold on so tight to something. If I hold on too tight, I'll choke the life and love out that made it beautiful. I have go be willing to give space and have patience and know that I can't control everything.

@WanderingSoul93

I like this point. We need our space too. I would add this point. If we don't already have our "special" space, we start to look for one within our current living space.

@loyalDay5445 I agree. Thanks for pointing that out though because I had forgotten about that!

I've learnt it's ok to spend the Holiday season doing whatever you want, we don't all have to conform.

@LittleLotte

Yep. I had a "grown-up" Christmas! I spent time with my friends and had a "friendship" dinner with all of the trimmings. We exchanged gifts and talked after dinner. It was really comforting and rewarding. I see what you mean.

@loyalDay5445 I spent Christmas alone, and it was by choice this year. I didn't let anyone guilt-trip me into visiting them, and I spent the time doing lots of self-care/relaxing things.

@LittleLotte

Hi LittleLotte,

I did that last thanksgiving. I think i like holidays better when i spend it with positive people. Instead of being alone, i invited my best friends to have a meal with me. It required a lot of work and giving on my part. That giving, working and decorating helped keep my mind off of my current issue. That was nice.

@loyalDay5445 I'm happy to spend holidays with positive people, unfortunately there's not many of them in my life, and distance is a problem for the few that I have.
