It's okay to feel down and that it's going to get better

Some days, some weeks even, are really hard. It's hard to keep going and hard, during these times, to want to do anything (like keep an appt., go to church, keep a commitment or even just take care of everyday responsibilities). Sometimes I feel so anxious I feel sick to my stomach. I want to give in to the desire of just staying in bed, under the covers to hide, like a little child. Or to just "check out". I've learned that I just have to make myself do what needs to be done anyway and that getting through it and seeing that I could do it when I thought I couldn't is claiming a victory for me and handing a defeat to the devil! That feels good at the end of a rough day, week, month or year. (Unfortunately I feel like I'm going through that kind of decade, but I know I can come out of it victorious, it's just going to take a lot of hard work and tough decisions! And courage!)

Yay I reached step 370! I've learned that a component of mindfulness is gratitude, including appreciating being alive, which I need to do more.

I am grateful for all of my milestones. Staying calm and being less emotional when I am upset or in an arguement.

Defensive is when someone is sensitive to criticism. In order not to sound defensive, try not to care or just say nothing and smile. But how can we tell if someone is defensive? Hmm
