I've been reading The Discernment of Spirits as I've been doing this...I feel a lot more prepared for the next time my feelings try to get the better of me.
7 cups is helping me improve on the steps i take for self care.
@GlenM
I learned, and am definitely still learning and accepting, that I move forward every day and that instead of choosing to talk down at me for not completing what I had planned, I can thank myself and cheer myself on by looking at the good things that I have done that day.
I have always known words to be very painful... Let me introduce you to my dad. I am learning in life it does not matter what you have gone through, nor what is your present situation.... Your life is what you make it. The irony is sometimes it is beyond your control. This is when "I" have to have faith that things will get better... If I do not have this faith I am likely to go insane... So "I" have to find a "happy medium" to hold true to myself.... It may not always be "what I want" ....But it is what it is... "I" have to deal with it as it comes to me.
I've reached Step 140 (I mostly use the app for Mindfulness) and I've learned that taking a break to recalibrate yourself can be valuable.
WHAT HAVE I LEARNED... as I've crept and crawled my way to Step #860
I have learned that many challenging life situations and circumstances can seem overwhelmingly impossible to change. And while working hard at overcoming the obstacles that hinder my attempts to make those changes a reality, it is easy for me to grow weary, think all my efforts are futile, and feel like my uphill battle to accomplish "changes for the better" in my life will never cease to be anything more than an ongoing, never ending fight. But, I found that if I can just stay the course, while remaining consistently focused, downright determined, and be committed and persistant in taking one small step after another toward my intended goal, I will eventually get to a better place. The journey and battle to change things about myself that I am unhappy with, and also simultaneously striving to change seemingly impossible circumstances in my life that I feel incredibly hopeless about, may be exhausting, seem futile at times, wear me down, and have a number of stumbles, trips, and falls along the way, but Keeping on.. KEEPING ON has to be my only option. And, I've learned that if I unwaveringly choose to GET UP when I fall, instead of GIVING Up on getting up and going any further..I will eventually, in time, be sucessful at getting myself to much better place than I'd ever imagined.

On my 70th step
I've realised that talking to like minded people has shown that my problems aren't unque, and help is just round the corner.
