My milestone would be going through a divorce. Seeing things for both sides and realizing it is a situation that benefited no one. And learning from the dangers of controlling issues and when to recognize when you need to step back, when something is so unhealthy from both sides it's wiser to just walk away and learn from it. There's always another side. And lion king wasn't wrong, you can run from it or learn from it.

I need to learn to remind myself that the pain from this break up is only temporary.

Seperating Ed from Me

I'm finding it hard to separate ad and me because i think some of the things ed is saying are right obviously but that I shouldn't be disobeying them. I'm worried that if I start disobeying some of the statements my food and wait will get out-of-control.

Just like a garden - you water, pull weeds, make sure rocks aren't in the dirt, and let it do its magic. Patience is key to getting veggies and fruit.

One day at a time. Pain will never go away but you learn to live with it.

One thing I'm learning is that I don't have to do everything that is suggested to me or that people say might be helpful for me - including when it comes to anxiety-management strategies or exercises. It is perfectly ok for me to pick and choose what I do to try and help reduce my anxiety and I don't have to worry about "not doing enough" or "not making enough progress." As long as I am aware of my anxiety issues and am taking steps I believe are helpful in addressing it, then I'm doing great. Above all, if something is actually causing me aniexty rather than reducing it, then I should simply let it go and focus on what actually does help reduce my stress.
