I've finally started understanding that the voices in my head telling me I'm not good enough and I shoulda punish myself or feel bad or not feel good about my accomplishments... they're just very twisted energy trying to do the wrong things with only the best intentions.
Through meditation, I can personify these voices and get to the root of the problem, ask them why they're saying these things. Then I can convince them that the things they're saying maybe helped me before sometimes and that while it was good to keep pushing forward and not settle for less, never enjoying any accomplishments and never feeling good enough are counter-intuitive, hurtful, and demotivating, making me want to try less and less. When I can convince these voices in whatever scenario they may appear that they are appreciated but their services are no longer required, I retire them to pure energy, not good or bad, to take another form and go find some other task to help and advise me with.
It's incredible honestly. There was one helping time in my life where I was consistently getting 6-5 hours of sleep to finish this project by a deadline, and I did it. I never looked back on that moment with pride, only ever with contempt for having to rush and sadness for how hard it was. In convincing myself that it's okay to feel good about my accomplishments though, I can now look back on that time and be happy that I finished it against all odds :)

I'm learning to stop fighting it when I feel lonely.
@GlenM
I learned that if I fight my emotions it makes me feel worse. Suppressing my anger is not good but it feels safe to me.
