I have learnt to try and stay grateful for what I have, and I'm not ashamed of having a mental health issue. I will not let this beat me.
@Bunny34 I am so proud of your strength and persistence! We are all here for you. Thank you so much for opening up!
I think the goal is to focus on the path not necessarily the ups and downs. The path of how you want to feel, where you want to go, that is the gift. Emotions come and go and people will let you down, but the path and your feelings are your compass to success
@Djac What a thoughtful post! Yes, staying on track will defintely help you out, even with obstacles. Well done!

Ooh, that sounds lovely and calming! I hope it was just that and more for you! Thank you for sharing with us :)
There's this quote I heard someone say in a YouTube video that goes something like "if life is exhausting, it's because you're living up to expectations that aren't yours." That's the lesson I'm relearning.
It seems so easy and thoughtless how quickly I drifted away from keeping up with these mental health practices and my own long-term "priorities" in the face of life's demands. But again, it's possible to meet life's bare necessities and have time and over to do what you will with yourself. I have this bad habit of letting other people's wills and missions override mine to my own imminent distraught.
So I guess what the lesson I've learned really is to stay clear about why your doing/including this (the practices) and how it's going to help you achieve what you want. Then find some kind of way to remind yourself so you stay on the track of progress and don't derail. Not that derailing is horrible, it's just redundant after a while. Makes you question your self and whether you really learned the lesson you thought you were learning.
@SanityRing
Wow, what an insightful lesson you've learnt! I also do love that quote- it is very true. You have to live the life you want for yourself, and not let others live their regrets or expectations through you. It's a great lesson to learn, and a very important one too. And as for derailing, it's a learning process. You just have to learn every time you derail, I guess. Thank you for sharing your wise words of wisdom with us! xx
