I am learning how to refocus on the positive when difficult things come up. I have been focusing on being kind to myself and self heal. As time has passed, I notice my mind starts to automatically self correct into a more positive frame of mind when problems arise. I am also making choices in my life for me and only me now, and it makes me feel better. I am calmer, happier, more at peace and less concerned about what other people do or dont do. I am learning to love myself and give myself the love I need.
In 4 days, I will be 7 months clean from self harm. I haven't been on 7 cups for the entire 7 months, but I've had it for the hardest parts of it. 7 cups helps me so much. Thank you!!!
@politePal7389 Man...that is so excellent! Thank you for sharing your success - it is inspiring me to stick with my paths to climb out of this pit of depression and stop hurting myself. Your post shed some light in my darkness.
Wow, so much pressure! Do we always have to learn something?
I'm a lifelong learner and a sarcastic jacka$$ that values humor above many things.
For me, I always need to be reminded that slowing down and just enjoying the view from my window is enough.
@Luminox
@Luminox@Luminox I totally relate to your sentiment. When I started a little over a week ago I felt the same pressure. For me Im realizing the importance of contiually turning my focus to even one small thing I have gleaned on my path - it has helped me to stay grounded and challenge my ever present negative thoghts by making me stop and search my chaotic mind for just one thing - and those one things add up and it becomes a tool to change the negative thinking....so very glad you shared how you were feeling / experiencing this and appreciate your awesome perspective....yes it is so nice to just sit and enjoy the view sometimes!
I have learned that I can make small changes to my health one day at a time and that starting over doesnt mean failure, it just means I needed to give myself little more time to think things through and get stronger.
Right now I'm Eeyore...but thankfully I have a small group of people who accept me and love me anyway. They know I used to be Tigger. Working through the tools and materials on 7Cups, praying, trusting God moment by moment is helping me to see a very dim light of hope that I can become more and more who I was created to be one small simple step at a time.

I'm learning it's okay to be a bit easier on myself
I have learned that every step is progress. Learning to manage anxiety and ptsd is a day by day climb, but I am gradually overcoming obstacles.
