I'm on 54. I've learned that people have different experiences and perspectives and at times, they make poor assumptions. For example, not everyone's parents were great people who encouraged good behavior. It takes an extra measure of understanding when other people make erroneous assumptions and suggest things which are not helpful.

Step 1050- It's important to forgive people and learn to trust them again.

During that time, I had attended my best friends funeral, made some new friends, and resolved to follow CMs legacy by doing my best to reach out in friendship to those needing it, regardless of background, just as she did.

CM never met a stranger.

I learned that I need to slow down and breathe

I think the thing I've learned most so far on this journey is that in order to get better you need to reach for getting better. It will not fall into your lap
