There are people who actually care, who actually want to help and listen.

Sometimes it is better to share you problems with a stranger, because you can really tell everything without hesitating that they may be biased or what.

I talked to someone for the first time today.

I have been depressed for 4 years, and I've always been too afraid to say anything about it. But last night was bad, I self harmed and freaked out. I face timed my best friend, and he didn't respond so I just stared at the wall for a couple of hours. Then today, he face timed me and wanted to know what was up. We talked for a couple hours, then he brought up the fact that I wanted to talk about something. I shrugged it off, but he told me that he knew something was bothering me. No one has ever really cared that much, and I told him I've been depressed for a long time. And to my surprise, he told me he was going to hang out with me this week no matter what! (Keep in mind I haven't seen him in 2 years) I actually can't believe this is happening... And I really hope I don't regret it :)

I told myself that if I want 7 cups to continue working for me I have to keep my mind on positive thought and keep looking up. It's hard for me as I always went back to negative thoughts as that's what I'm used to hearing but today I did not have a single negative thought. I'm proud of myself

I finally gained the courage to reach out through a website like this. Before I would always tell myself that I was just overreacting, and I would only waste people's time. But now... I realize that this website is extremely helpful. Thank you, everyone.

I had felt that exact same way; thinking I was over reacting and that It wasn't worth it to reach out. But I am so so so very proud of you 😊❤️

I made it to 100 levels. I learned that I don't feel so alone and no longer panic when I'm alone.

... Well, I admitted to some friends and my family that I'm going through a rough patch. They seem a little too supportive tho //squints suspiciously

Yeah... same with my parents to be honest. But I just have to keep reminding myself that they're doing the best they can. :)

I learned that even when we try to incorporate something positive into our lives we can experience growing pains. So don't give up on something at the first sight of discomfort. Wiggle this way, try it that way, until you find what works for you perfectly. It takes some time to find that sweet spot and maybe even when you find it, it might be necessary to adjust again in future. If that positive step you took doesn't feel quite right yet, don't fear and think you made a mistake. Take a breath and adjust just a little bit. You were very brave to take that step. Now - take another.
