I have learned that others are going through the same thing as me and its ok to talk about it and have a moment, its ok to feel mixed emotions but talk to someone and get them straightened out or understand them better

Do you know those moments, when you know that you have an really exciting idea, but you "have no time"?

Today I used my new gained knowledge that is takes only 5 seconds to let go of an idea. Simple, isn't it?

I heard jazz music in the afternoon I just had this idea of driving with my bike to the lake near my city. Just putting my jacket on, the music changed from my earplugs and I opened the door while looking into this golden light of fall. Haha, and then I drove as fast as I could towards this exact scenery I imagined, I sit there and I was just happy. Nothing more, nothing less. Happy.

You know, sometimes it is better to forget everything and to try live again. I started that an hour ago and I feel better. Stupid.

@CutieCherry - Not stupid. Why can we not decide to start again or for the first time right now?

I have ha depression for 5ish years now, and I don't know how to tell my father. I feel like he wouldn't accept me because part of the reason for my depression is my sexuality and other things, and he isn't supportive of that kind of stuff. He is the only parent that I have, so I'm afraid to lose him. Help?

"Congratulations, you reached step 3400 in your Growth Path. Let everyone know so we can celebrate with you!"

OK, so what does this ultimately mean?

@Ranmusic - I think the important question is: What does it mean to you?

Reached growth path 25. I was skeptical that this would help me but it has so far. So glad I found this site.

I've just reached step 25 in my growth path. I used to keep everything to myself and keep my emotions bottled up but now I talk to someone I feel better.

I didn't dare tell my friends that I think I have depression, I didn't want them thinking that I'm a loser who can't handle a bit of pressure. I didn't dare tell my parents, I know that they will be upset. But I can talk to someone without feeling ashamed, and it's great. :) I still feel down at times, but I'm learning and changing.

@DreamHope - Finding someone to talk to is a very big and positive step towards healing. I applaud your courage.

So I have only been on here for a few days. But I am glad I have positive people that are trying to help me thru this . I see I am not the only one that suffers from depression and other things day to day life brings us . I am fully aware that I need help and I am proud that I am on here truing to seek it . I am thankful for a lot and I know its going to be a struggle but I'm willing to work at it .
