Whooo whoo 100th milestone
People will always be here to help me :)
What I learned this week is that I absolutely HATE the mindfulness activities in my growth path and no matter how many times I click "try something else" it will not let me leave this activity!!! I already do headspace mindfulness activities twice a day, when I'm on my computer I want to go go go!! not stop stop stop... and that's what these do. Plus, I don't care for the voice of the one I always get. I prefer my meditation guides to have English accents. To that end, I only listen to Andy on headspace, or Jill on Meditainment.com. Their voices and accents put me to sleep, or calm and sooth me. I have never been able to relax with a non-English voice because I'm constanstly aware of their lisp, or nasality, or something else with their pattern of speech that severely disturbs me... but not when the meditation is spoken by a Brit.
So back on track... when I get to this activity that I cannot control, I just walk away from my computer for 5 minutes or until it's over and then I come back. That way, I'm still taking a break, but I'm not increasing my frustration about not being allowed to move on to the next activity until this person stops speaking.
@ALifeLessOrdinary - I also missed this at first. If you click on "Try something else" or "Try a different mindfulness.." the options appear at the left hand side of your screen. You have to scroll down a bit to see it. Alternatively you can click on "My Path" and then choose Mood Boosts. Personally I prefer Rick Clarke's voice. He does "Find your life purpose" for example. I hope that helps.
Being able to gain access to self-help tool make me feel better.
I truly love this website, mostly because I don't feel so alone anymore. I realised that no matter how hard life beats you up, you have to get back up. We have to keep trying, not for others but for yourself.
This website really helped me to start working on getting better again. Small steps, and everything will be fine. :)
I've learned that meditation helps me appreciate myself and my life more
Already took 10 steps on my path. IDK I just try to spend a few minutes every day around to chill out =)
Step 60. The last couple of days I learned just how supportive my family can be, and that it's okay to open up to them.
Since starting 7 cups I've learned to calm myself down. Its easier for me to handle stressful things. All I have to do is slowly breathe in and out. It helps alot!
