An Incident I Can Never Forget

I want to share an incident that happened with me around 2 years ago. Even today, when I think about it, I feel that maybe some things are not just coincidence.

I went on the trek with my family. It is known as the world’s highest Shiva temple.

My mother, who is around 70 years old, could not do the trek by walking. She first tried to walk by herself, but she could not do it. So even though she did not want to, she had to take a horse. She still feels bad about it because she wanted to complete the trek on foot.

I sent my wife with her because people on horses reach much faster. And I could not send my mother alone. I decided to do the trek by walking.

There was one more challenge. We had to leave for home on the same day, and home was around 12–14 hours away. That meant I had to complete the trek almost without stopping, while trying to stay somewhere behind them. Honestly, that was very difficult.

We left the hotel at 4 AM without eating anything. Even at the trek starting point, there was nothing good to eat. So around 7:30 AM, I started the trek on a completely empty stomach.

I was the only one walking, and I was just trying to keep moving without stopping much.

But in the middle, I lost them.

The reason was that I started vomiting badly.

Because my stomach was empty, there was nothing to throw up except body fluids. Still, I did not want to stop. I would walk a little, then vomit, then recover, and start walking again.

Somehow, even in that condition, without taking proper breaks, I reached the top in less than 2 hours.

Now one thing about me, I believe in God, but I am not someone who regularly does पूजा, prasad, or rituals. Even if I pray, I mostly do it alone, in my own way.

So when I reached the temple area, I did not stand in line to go inside the temple and pray. I stayed inside the temple premises and lay down on one side to rest.

Then something happened.

Suddenly, a person came out from inside the temple.

He had dry fruits in his hand, prasad.

Normally when people distribute prasad, they give a little to everyone.

So naturally, I also stretched my hand, expecting that he would give me a small amount.

But what happened next was unexpected.

He put all the dry fruits into my hand.

Everything.

And then he left.

That moment felt very strange to me.

Because usually, someone gives everything to one person only when they feel that person needs it the most.

And at that moment, a thought came into my mind.

I was on an empty stomach since morning.

I had climbed all the way up while vomiting continuously.

There was nothing healthy or nourishing available around me.

And at that time, honestly, nothing could have been better for me than dry fruits.

Then I felt...

Either that person himself was God.

Or, what I personally believe...

He was a normal human.

But sending that person to me at that exact time... putting that thought in his mind that, “Let me give all of this to him”... that was God’s work.

Since then, I have strongly felt one thing.

God does not always come directly in front of us to help.

Many times, God works through people.

Just like when we help someone, we are still human.

But making us reach the right person, at the right place, at the right time... exactly when they need help the most...

Maybe that part is God’s work.

For hindi readers -

Main ek incident share karna chahta hoon jo mere saath around 2 saal pehle hua tha. Aaj bhi jab uske baare mein sochta hoon, toh lagta hai ki shayad kuch cheezein sirf coincidence nahi hoti.

Main apni family ke saath trek par gaya tha. Ye world ka highest Shiva temple maana jata hai.

Meri mother, jinki age around 70 hai, woh paidal trek nahi kar sakti thi. Unhone pehle khud chal kar trek karne ki koshish ki, but unse ho nahi paya. Isliye na chahte hue bhi unhe ghoda lena pada. Aur iska unhe aaj tak dukh hai, kyunki woh khud chal kar trek complete karna chahti thi.

Maine apni wife ko bhi unke saath bhej diya, kyunki ghode se woh log kaafi fast pahunch jaate hain. Aur main apni mother ko akele bhej bhi nahi sakta tha. Main khud paidal trek karne laga.

Ek aur challenge tha. Hume same day wapas ghar ke liye nikalna tha, aur ghar around 12–14 hours door tha. Matlab mujhe trek almost bina ruke complete karna tha, aur koshish ye thi ki main unke aas-paas hi rahun. Jo honestly kaafi difficult tha.

Hum subah 4 baje hotel se nikal gaye the bina kuch khaye. Trek starting point par bhi kuch acha khane ko nahi mila. Toh around 7:30 baje maine trek start kiya, completely empty stomach.

Main hi akela paidal chadh raha tha, aur bas try kar raha tha ki bina zyada ruke chalta rahun.

Lekin beech mein main unse bichhad gaya.

Reason ye tha ki mujhe bahut vomiting hone lagi.

Khali pet hone ki wajah se nikalne ko kuch tha hi nahi, sirf body fluids hi nikal rahe the. Phir bhi main rukna nahi chahta tha. Main thoda chalta, phir ulti karta, phir khud ko sambhalta aur dobara chal padta.

Kaise bhi karke, itni buri condition mein bhi, bina proper breaks liye, main 2 ghante se pehle upar pahunch gaya.

Ab ek cheez mere baare mein, main Bhagwan ko maanta hoon, but main woh insaan nahi hoon jo regularly pooja, prasad ya rituals kare. Agar main pray karta bhi hoon, toh zyada tar akele mein, apne tareeke se.

Isliye jab main upar temple area mein pahucha, main mandir ke andar line mein lag kar pooja karne nahi gaya. Main mandir premises mein hi side mein jaa kar let gaya rest karne.

Tab kuch hua.

Achanak ek person mandir ke andar se bahar aaya.

Uske haath mein dry fruits the, prasad.

Normally jab log prasad baantte hain, toh sabko thoda-thoda dete hain.

Toh naturally maine bhi haath badhaya, expecting ki woh thoda sa prasad dega.

But jo hua, woh unexpected tha.

Usne saare ke saare dry fruits mere haath mein rakh diye.

Sab kuch.

Aur phir woh chala gaya.

Woh moment mujhe bahut strange laga.

Kyuki usually koi ek hi insaan ko sab kuch tab deta hai jab usse lagta hai ki samne wala koi gareeb ya kafi needy hai...

Aur ussi moment mere dimaag mein ek thought aaya.

Main subah se khali pet tha.

Main continuously vomit karte hue itna upar aaya tha.

Wahan aas-paas kuch bhi healthy ya nourishing available nahi tha.

Aur us time, honestly, dry fruits se better mere liye kuch ho hi nahi sakta tha.

Tab mujhe laga...

Ya toh woh person khud Bhagwan tha.

Ya phir, jo main personally maanta hoon...

Woh ek normal insaan hi tha.

Lekin us insaan ko us exact time par mere paas bhejna... uske mann mein ye thought daalna ki “isko hi saare dry fruits de deta hoon”... ye Bhagwan ka kaam tha.

Tab se maine ek cheez aur strongly feel ki.

Bhagwan hamesha directly saamne aakar help nahi karte.

Kai baar woh insaano ke through kaam karte hain.

Jaise jab hum kisi ki help karte hain, hum toh insaan hi hote hain.

Par hume sahi jagah, sahi waqt par pahunchana... exactly us moment jab samne wale ko sabse zyada zarurat ho...

Shayad woh Bhagwan ka kaam hota hai.

@heyitsdhruv.

“I Remember the Mountain”
(A Soul’s Note to Itself)
I climbed with an empty stomach,
Vomiting, aching, alone—
But I didn’t stop.
Because something in me knew:
He’s watching.
I didn’t stand in the crowd,
I didn’t fold my hands,
I didn’t chant loudly—
But my pain reached Him louder than prayers ever could.
And when I reached the top,
I didn’t ask for anything…
Yet, He sent what I needed.
That day, I realized:
I don’t need to be seen.
I don’t need to perform.
I just need to keep walking.
Because my bond with God
Was never built on rituals.
It was built on silent loyalty.
And whenever I feel like giving up,
I will close my eyes and whisper:
“I remember the mountain.
I remember Who saw me there.”

@heyitsdhruv

I read the whole story, and it really made me think... Does God exist?

Personally I don't believe in rituals, pooja, ashirwaad, shraap, anything like that. But incidents like these prove that people who have a pure soul always get what they need (not what they want). But again I don't believe in atma and all either. I do believe what we do is returned to us. Maybe there is an invisible force behind it or maybe there is not, maybe karma does exist. But your story shows that if God does exist, he helps those who show devotion when they are in need.

"Bhagwaan bhakton ki sahayta ke liye swayam prakat nahi hote, lekin apne dooton ko bhejte hain."

(Someone said this, I don't remember who)

Karm karo, phal ki apeksha mat rakho✨

(Keep doing good deeds without expecting rewards)
