Complain VS Change
One of things I notice myself doing a lot lately is complaining instead of changing.
It's like a wall comes up that prevents me doing something about whatever is bothering me and I'm left slamming my fists against the wall in futile fury.
And the embarrassment goes beyond that - this seems to be a pattern that's been going on for years. Decades even!
When I was still a kid I remember my sister admitting to me that sometimes she thought I never learn, and since she was my older sister this felt like a condemnation of the highest order.
Maybe I'll make a complaint bracelet.
It's a bracelet that worn every day for at least thirty days and every time one catches themselves complaining or about to complain they switch it over to the other wrist to help rewire the mind...well, as long as it's comfortable and switches.
@Dallady Hi Dal! That's interesting, the "instead of" part.
Personally, I think about complaining as a first step along a path that will lead to positive change. OK, I agree that futile fury is no good, but I also think openly acknowledging that a problem exists is the necessary first step towards solving it.

Yes I know but thinking and the ego is much more black and white than that. I get as a man you may feel that way but I feel expectations to be the best I can be as a woman, to heal low vibes like complaints. It's something I'm working on but it makes a complaint more of a barrier than a step in the right direction so changing that behaviour can apparently be helpful. Someone doesn't need to complain to change...they can notice something is bothering them them move towards a solution.
There's a lot of challenge happening in my life the past few years that is more than most have to deal with in a lifetime so makes it all more difficult.
It is what it is.
