Diving deep into gratitude

Sometimes people tell us to be grateful because its therapeutic and it comes across as a bit judgemental because a lot of us are already grateful and yet the pain lingers...

But those who advocate gratitude are not wrong. Gratitude is a deep well. We need to see its fullness. The more we observe gratitude, the more we fill our broken pieces.

Gratitude doesn't mean being content to the point of accepting defeat. In fact, it's the opposite. Gratitude gives you a fresh vigor to achieve your dreams. It is the foundation for courage and compassion to grow.

I'll admit I'm in pain (emotional) and am working to heal myself very very gently.

And gratitude is really helping.

Im grateful for my body because it gives me all these sensations that tell me what it is to be alive.

Im grateful for the people I meet - in real and digital life - every soul is a powerhouse in themselves.

Im grateful for the flowers that heal through their colors.

Im grateful for my lips that await the kiss of love.

Im grateful for my heart that knows no patronising.

Im grateful for my power to forgive because it sets me so free. Free from the bounds of ego.

Im grateful for my eyes that help me connect to your eyes.

Im grateful for water that cleanses me everyday and gives me a new beginning.

Im grateful for people who are not perfect but doing their best. They are to be appreciated.

Im grateful for my feet. They make me humble. My roots are planted firmly on the land I inhabit.

Im grateful for the day and the night giving me change as well as a sense of stability. I need rest and I need awakening. I need this alternation to know my limitations as a mortal being.

Im grateful for the humor around me and the one I give to others and myself. Life is half-lived if you haven't laughed. And I'm lucky to use laughter as my go-to quite organically.

I'm grateful for what ever didn't come my way. It taught me the grace of letting go. And what would I be without grace? A ball of pride and anger? No thank you. Losing somethings is my spiritual need.

I'm grateful for my heart that refuses never to give up on love and light, in spite of all the hiccups on the journey.
