It's a very confusing place to be in. You get treated like you're the mature one, yet you're not old enough to do anything.
The middle child and the only female was not easy. As though you're an adult but in a child's body. The males had the loudest voices so they got the admiration and the respect.
I just took everything personally, the praise and the critiques. There's a lot of expectation and pressure to be like the others.
Heaven forbid I strive to figure out who I was. It took me a long long long time to find my personality and voice.
We wish that you knew that just because we aren't the oldest child, doesn't mean we don't have any responsibilities or that our lives are chill. (As a middle child and this assumption annoys me sometimes).
