Mindfulness Exercises!

Hey hey everyone, hope July has been treating you well! 💛

Half a year over, and honestly, one of my "to practice more often" kinda resolutions at the beginning of this year was to incorporate more mindfulness in my daily routine. Life happened XD, and I haven't been as regular with it as I'd like, but heyyy I have the rest of this year with me still, and I'll definitely keep trying! 🥰

On the same pursuit today, I randomly remembered that we have soooo many mindfulness exercises listed here on 7 Cups as well. It is actually one of the very first things that I really enjoyed finding here while in my exploration phase hehe.

They arent hidden but they are also not quite "prominently visible" I feel, sooo sharing the list here with everyone too!

HERE- https://www.7cups.com/exercises/mindfulness/?showlist=1

Have you tried any of these? How did you feel?

Are there any other audio/ video based mindfulness exercises you like more? Feel free to share! 🥰

Thanks for sharing, Sunny!! 🧘🏻‍♂️

I used to try these back in my first times here, and they were quite good, as far as I remember.

Then moved to some apps.

The one I used most, especially during COVID, is called Balance.

Kept quite an impressive streak, but, sadly, I'm not regular anymore at all.

That being said, mindfulness can definitely be a game-changer, and I still intend to get my practice back.

Pedrooo🤗 you’re welcome friend! @TogetherForeverAlways

Haha yes can relate with how difficult it feels to get back in practice once we drift away due to xyz things! (‘: It’s been a forever struggle for me too but lately I’ve tried reframing how I think of this.

Soooo I know that being regular or consistent is more effective, but also important to remember that I don’t need to make it a “chore” or a “have to do” task for me, and something that is fun, beneficial and an activity that I actually “enjoy” hehe.

Instead of aiming for 30-60 minute sessions, I believe starting with a 5-10 minute one is helpful as is, slowly to build a habit and block a time period during the day where I can practice it without interruption/ excuse.

This helps me a lot. My usual time blocks are for either before sleeping (so kinda like a sleep meditation lol- dual benefit as it can aid in a better sleep) or in mornings after I wake up.

Something else that can be incorporated is mindfulness in the routine-ish tasks, like walking to somewhere (I know we tend to rush lol but being mindful of the surroundings, pace, how our feet feel, where we are heading to and how etc can be little ways to sneak in some active-mindfulness), and my favorite one is while cooking/ eating food. Slowing down and embracing it all moment by moment, tuning our mind with what we are doing.

Hehe cute how we can practice it in so many tiny ways too and doesn’t have to be the conventional sit somewhere, close your eyes and wander off xD way! Lesssgoooo, our trying counts sooo much and I’m rooting for you tooo! 🤗

Thank youu for mentioning ‘Balance’ I’ll definitely check this one out! 😮💖
