Hello Everybody.....

Many motivational quotes which I read today on various forums including MST

inspired me to write this post.

I grew up on very inspirational and motivational words, my father was the prime influence as he was a Professor of Literature.

Dinner time was not just food for the belly but also food for thought........ lingering on at the dining table was a memorable ritual, poignant memories of which fill up my senses even today, when we hardly eat together and at the table..... someone in front of the TV. , someone in their room , so on and so forth and all the members of the family are guilty for it.

My father would share famous quotes so effortlessly as one would sprinkle salt on your food and the simplest food n dinner had lasting impact on us all.

My mom was known for coming up with a proverb or phrase for any occasion, how we miss it today when she is no more and our family conversations are so incomplete. We would pull her leg and say that she had a treasure trove of them which would never run dry heart

My paternal grandma regaled us with stories about the family or mythology or fun stories to which a new angle was added each time she repeated them........ here too sharing and caring was through motivational words.

A great tradition was passed on to us in our family of reading anything and everything but hands down the most favorite was The Reader's Digest which is subscribed by my retired father even today for all of us to read but which he guards with his life. They all are so systematically stacked date wise with such loving care and precision.

So the point I am making here is a lot of nurturing, upbringing and self and mutual growth can be through impactful words..... spoken...... read..... or texted..... They played a huge role in making me what I am and am certain will leave no one unaffected if they experience the essence of Motivational Words from any channel......

Even when I watch movies I have my notepad handy to jot down dialogues which stir the strings of my heart.... In fact this post, I now remember, owes its genesis to a dialogue I heard for the umpteenth time from my favorite movie.... ' As Good as it Gets '..... when Jack Nickalson, a sour tongued man with a personality disorder, say to Helen Hunt....... " You make me want to be a better man " , another recent dialogue, another of my immense favorite, is from my all time favorite love story....' Pretty Woman '..... where the hotel manager says to Richard Gere after he lets Julia Roberts leave...... " It must be so difficult to let go of something so beautiful "...... ( it appears that he is saying it for the exquisite ruby and diamond necklace which Gere is leaving with him to return but the implication of the manager's comment is quite clear )

And the immediate trigger for my penning this piece was a friend's comment when I shared rather beautiful words with him........ " Thanks so much ! It's a blessing to have you around ! "........ this is what he wrote back and it overwhelmed me deeply.

So friends read....share......say out loud....text.... Motivational words , you don't know how your and through you other's life can be impacted and undergo a life changing experience.......!!!!!!!! The fragrance of some words last a lifetime !!!

I end with my father's favorite quote which says so much in such few and simple words......

" If Age could and Youth knew " ........ awesome quotation isn't it.... btw it's my favorite too......

Eagerly await your feedback smiley

@RideaRainbow This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing! Sometimes words can touch us in ways we can only know if we experienced them.

I can relate with this. Growing up, my parents and other inspiring figures play a poignant role in the quality of my personality.
