"Is happiness a goal?"
Is happiness a goal?
Why should it be a goal?
How can we acheive that goal?
What are the outcomes of acheiving this goal?
@radiantrey Such a nice post
Me particularly think happiness is outcome of goal, not really goal.
i think it depends!!! ultimately i think that happiness is tied into goals as a whole. if you aim to succeed in anything, success will bring you joy and satisfaction! i feel like if anything success should be motivated by the satisfaction and happiness that we reach in the end!! ^^ joy comes from the journey too!! it's all of the hard work that comes from working towards a goal that makes the end so good for us!
Thats literally the only goal I have. I dont know what I want to do with my life, just that I want to end up happy. I feel it should be everyones goal, happiness makes life worthwhile. We need to find something(s) we are good at, people who love us and an achievable goal!
@radiantrey I think happiness is a mindset, I have seen people that have the world at their hands and are miserable.
It depends, it can be a goal or an outcome of a goal. For instance I have a younger sibling who's an adult and has an intellectual disability, when they turned 18 and were entering a day centre I was asked what I hoped they would achieve in their first year there. I simply said that I hoped they would be happy. They hold down a full-time job now and very accomplished athlete AND VERY HAPPY! That's always my goal for them and I try to be mindful of keeping it as a goal for myself on a day to day basis too :)
Is happiness a goal?
Yes. Happiness is a goal. Specifically an everyday goal.
Why should it be a goal?
To be happy.
How can we acheive that goal?
Whatever works for you.
What are the outcomes of acheiving this goal?

Hi, some say that by aiming at happiness as a goal you will miss it. Happiness ensues, according to Viktor Frankl, as a result of finding meaning and purpose in your life.
@serenemoment30 What a beautiful way of saying it.
@radiantrey Thanks!
