@trueconfidant123 actually I’m getting so tired of my best friend and the way she’s treating my other friend. she and him used to date throughout all of middle school and a little bit of 9th grade. then he started dating another classmate and the two girls hated each other until 11th grade when they became friends. Then they broke up and the two girls remained friends all of senior year (we were a trio.. also both girls cheated on him but that’s too much to get into), but at the beginning of that year my bestie started messing with him again behind her back but they never actually dated. However.. in 10th grade my bestie dated a guy which lasted a little over a year until he kept cheating on her then they were off and on messing with each other without actually dating. So throughout all of senior year my bestie was messing with this guy and my friend at the same time (the other girl didn’t know about my bestie and my friend). My friend knew of the other guy, but the other guy didn’t know about him. Me and my friend are like cousins (we thought we were actual cousins, but turns out we’re not, but I still see him that way anyways) he always talked to me about how he really likes my bestie and the way he speaks about her is genuinely so sweet and always vented to me about how he likes her but she keeps leading him on and stuff. fast forward to the end of senior year the two have been off and on messing with each other and not.. because my bestie would not cut off her ex. my bestie takes my friend’s v card on a school trip and she considers committing to him. Then she cuts off her ex (finally) to focus on him without actually dating him and went on a whole rant about how she shouldnt have put up with him and how she shouldnt have made me put up with her constant complaining.. mind you she blocked that guy on everything except tik tok so that he can see her and be jealous or whatever.. some kind of “you can look but can’t touch” situation.. and ofc.. he tried messaging her on that app and she complained that he did.. (obviously he would.. you knew he would..) then the other girl finds out about my bestie and my friend and stops being her friend. Then come to find out my bestie started texting her ex again and even went to go see him at his house.. I didn’t find out she went to his house until my friend (the dude) told me. Deadass I’m so tired of her treating him this way. He’s actually not even a bad guy, especially to her. She keeps talking about how she realizes how selfish she is and how she treats him so wrong.. one time she cut him off because of how bad she treated him.. but then she always finds a way to talk to him again. One time she invited both dudes to one of her events and when my friend saw that her ex was there, he wanted to leave immediately. I don’t get why she’s messing with both guys. She’s obviously not going to ever leave her ex alone. I try to stay completely out of the situation because i genuinely can’t stand when two of my friends are having problems.. I’ve always been a “thats not okay, but do whatever you want to do” type of person.. but I don’t think I can anymore. If I hear one more thing about this I’m going to tell either of them what I think and what they need to do. I’m tired of trying to be passive about the situation. And honestly I knew I should have talked to the other girl about the situation but I felt like she already knew exactly what was going on (and she did.. she always suspected it) so I didn’t.. but I’m actually done. He’d actually be a pretty good boyfriend.. I’m not saying he’s the best person but he treats her amazingly and she knows that. I’m actually starting to believe she’s taking advantage of him because she’s unable to see her ex everyday anymore (he graduated last year). and when I say I tried to stay neutral, I didn’t mean in a “keep the peace” kind of way, I meant it in a “not my problem, not my responsibility” kind of way (not that I didn’t care.. I did but I just didn’t think it was my place to do or say anything.. which now I don’t believe that anymore. Also a lot of the time he just seems so sad.. like when he’s venting to me, when they’re on an ‘off’ period, or when she’s just not here. he looks so sad and depressed and the way he vents just sounds so sad. The last time they cut off each other, i saw my bestie try to draw him back in. We were at a soccer game (they both play), she had a camera to take pictures, the boys were in the bleachers because it was the girls’ turn to play, and she called him over to take pictures while she plays. She looked over at me and said something about how she knows how to get him to talk to her again.. and she did that. she knew he would do it for her. That moment really put it into perspective for me how evil she honestly is.
