Counting Blessings is a healthy practice
I believe that counting blessings and intentionally looking at the bright side of thinks is very good for supporting mental health. If we are depressed and we let our minds wander we may unintentionally dwell on negative things. It seems important to step in and give your brain some healthy exercise by forcing yourself to think positive for a few minutes. We can’t do this 24 hours a day but we can do it for a few minutes and teach our brains that their is another way to look at things. The hope is that if we do this enough we can develop a habit of thinking positive. And once this turns into a habit, hopefully our brains will start to think positive on their own without us trying to force anything

I agree! Positive thinking does not imply ignoring less than ideal circumstances in life. Simply said, positive thinking entails taking an upbeat and constructive approach to bad situations. You anticipate the greatest, not the worst, happening.💜
